Hi I'm in the market for 4 new tyres. I require 175/65/14

I want quality (not budget) but at an amazing price. I'm in North-West London.

Any tips out there please?

Thanks!

Snap! I'm looking for 205/50/W/17 in NW London. Mostly city driving if that makes a difference.

Will consider some of the less well known brands (Kuhmo, Falken, Avon etc.), but happy to hear what to avoid too.

I know of the likes of black circles/e circles etc. but I'm looking for brand recommendations. Only will consider new tyres however.

I always use etyres... google will find them.
A good price plus they fit them at home or your place of work.
    Always had good service.

Ditto all the way! I agree. Tyes are v important just as what happens underneath the bonnet. I always go for top branded and reviewed tyes, but will also consider a cheaper option just so much as the review is good. I am shelling out non-stop at the moment on a buidling project. Lots of expense and over budget! & then the car tax comes along and now the tyres!! :)

    So hence require a deal

Well it all depends on your budget; bearing in mind the tyre is the only thing in contact with the road, so you want the best you can afford!

The main names you can rely on, bridgestone, michelin, dunlop, pirelli etc. Just look on the net for pirelli 175/65/14 NW12, or something along those lines. You're sure to get a winner!

I've just booked my 4 tyres online with a brilliant company - Event Tyres.

    www.event-tyres.co.uk

    4 x Goodyear Eagle NCT5 - total fitted £200.26

& then I brought the cost down further by adding the following code: EMT0708 (which I found on Twitter would you believe!)

    Grand Total: £190.26

Happy to buy Premium Tyres at such a good price - SAFETY FIRST!

Online is not always cheapest when it comes to tyres, I have always easily beaten their prices by reverse working out the fitment centre they use and dealing directly, they happily undercut the blackcircle prices, same tyre same place!

As to choice, recommendations can be quickly out of date, manufacturers constantly revise tyre formula and designs throughout its life even within the same name and code of tyre. A Dunlop Hydragrip someone had on 2 years ago may be quite different to one today.

You could take a look at the Autocar tests..

European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.
