need help finding card blanks please

I really need to get my invitation out this weekend and I know what I wnat to make but cant find the right colour of card blanks.
Has anyone spotted any square shaped card blanks in a deep/dark purple. The best I can find is pale purple or lilac and that just wont do at all.
I found light purple 13.5cm square blanks with envelopes at cardmania or papermania or something like that for £3.99 for 10 with envelopes but really need help finding the right colour.About 14.5cm square is what I want.Anyone seen any?

Not sure if these are too pale, they look quite a strong purple! http://www.firststopstationers.co.uk/acatalog/Papermania_Square_Blank_Cards.html

Have a look at papermill (I think they have a website).

You can buy normal card, fold it yourself (I have a scorer block to make this easier) and also use a trimmer to cut it to a square.

Im doing this as its normally cheaper!

thats the first place I looked for the op, but I cant see a deep purple???
i might be going insane tho lol
and it might be worth trying in one of their shops, cus they sometimes have different things in store than online

I have bought my card from there (dark brown) and have folded it my self, its a lot cheaper than buying pre folded stuff :D

Thats the ones I found, they are nice but a bit brighter than I hoped to find.I may have to buy those though as I dont think there is anything darker.
It probably would be easier to get a good colour using card and folding myself but then I would have to find envelopes too.Are square envelopes easy to come by?

yeah you can get envelopes in lots of places....I ordered mine from ebay (cus they were cheaper than the shops lol)
i went for long thin invites in the end, but originally was going to have square so I looked at lots of square ones too :D

search on ebay, and google (although some places i found on google were frighteningly expensive lol)
You should be able to find them in all sorts of different colours as well

Best idea is to find your envelopes first, then cut/fold your card to fit the envelopes :D

    This company sell envelopes http://www.madaboutcards.com/section.php/3/0/Envelopes

I think you are best off going to Hobbycraft where I know I have seen sheets of dark purple card and perhaps you could use a contrasting envelope such as lilac (easier to write on for a start and therefore easier to read).

I think you would do better to find your envelopes first and then decide on the shape of your card. Ask the ladies over on the crafting forum of MSE as they are bound to have loads of tips.
  • Actually, just realised I have to make my menus and place cards to match, well dont have to but want to,so buying card rather than ready folded cards makes more sense.A trip to Glasgow then asap to visit the big craft stores is needed. If I have a couple of variations planned of what I can make then I am sure to find the bits I need.

I found this place online, fantastic selection and a few nice purples, and the white linen papers I want as insets, but looks like you can only order in big quantities.I love the deep perfect plum card and also the metallics range in that lovely violet.
