This morning i purchased a drink from my local corner shop.
After getting it home i poured a glass for my partner and went to work. She tasted it and thought it tasted funny so went to look at the bottle to find that it went out of date in September 2008.
This isn't the first time that we have purchased items that then turned out to past its date.
Is there anything i can do / report this to as surly this isn't right.

Yup take it back & demand a refund, it shows really bad stock management to allow a product to be almost a year out of date. Incidentally what can was it?0

Photograph the 'evidence' or if you're serious about bringing them to book. Report them to your local environmental health, Trading standards departments and forward them the item or a sample of what you purchased.
They take this kind of thing, especially in regards to foot items: http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/st-annes/Shop-fined-2500-for-selling.4321189.jp quite seriously.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -

It was a large bottle of Barr Tizer0 -
When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about Crocodillo or something.0

I work for a popular garden centre/leisure/home superstore and we often sell out of date products such as crisps/drinks etc. Obviously, they're marked down and STATED as being out of date.
The amount of comments we get about them being out of date- I mean, thats the point.
Obviously a different case to what you're saying here.0 -
I was charged full price and no mention of it being out of date. Think i will pop in and check the other bottles as i bet they are out of date as well.0
