I've always found https://www.komplett.co.uk to have good prices and very helpfull staff. https://www.overclockers.co.uk have fairly good prices, but high shipping costs and bad service after sales. there are tons... do you know what parts you are actually after?

I've used http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ many many times with no problems at all. I find it a bonus that they do Saturday deliveries as well.

http://www.ebuyer.co.uk is a very good site. Their customer service is a bit hit and miss but their prices are very competitive.

One tip for when you're building the pc - have a spare on standby so that you can access the internet. It's amazing how many times you need to check how to do something, download a new bit of firmware, etc.

Watch out for unused motherboard standoff supports. These little threaded pillars are used to secure the motherboard into the case. I found three that would have shorted out a new motherboard in an old case. If you get a new case you often get the choice where to position them.
    Get an anti-static wrist strap.

I've used novatech.co.uk and scan.co.uk - both are cheap and provide good service.

Another vote for https://www.aria.co.uk, although I've recently heard grumbles about returns, however I've never had a problem in 6 years. I also like the fact that you can enquire about each individual product on their mini forums, and customers reply (almost as helpful as moneysavers!), it's vital for those quick compatibility questions. They (like most sites) have a PC builder area, which might be a nice place to start, to help you make sure you have considered all necessary components (but then go and buy them separately to save money). Aria super specials are hard to beat, they have the best prices I've seen on amd ath64 chips. Delivery is always very quick and reliable.
https://www.savastore.co.uk are another I've frequently used - can't fault them.
Good luck with your first build - it's nerve-racking, but oh so satisfying, you'll then be persuading all your family that they need a new one too. I, like many others, will be happy to help with any further questions.
