Can anyone recommend a dvb-t freeview usb tv card that is works properly with XP MCE?
The only ones I can find are:
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=327685
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=345193
They are the Kworld DVBT-350U Digital Freeview USB2.0 Stick inc Antenna and the MSI Mega SKy 580 USB2 DVB-T TvTuner.
They both (by the look of it) come without a remote.
I would like to get a remote and spend less than £50, can anyone advise me please?!
Thanks

I would steer well clear of the Freecom suggested above if you definitely want it to work with MCE & to have a fully featured remote control.
There seem to be 2 versions of the Freecom. Those made last year can be made to work (with some effort) with MCE by using some Yakumo bda drivers which can be found with a search on the interweb thingy. However, recent versions of the Freecom made this year which appear identical just do not seem to work with those same Yakumo bda drivers and Freecom are non-commital about ever making bda drivers of their own.
Also, the Freecom remote is nice and thin but hardly does much - just channel numbers, channel + & - and volume + & -.
I have a Freecom from before November last year and its great but I now wish I had a remote control which could do more - such as operate the EPG, setup & watch recordings, pause & rewind live tv, and so on.
So, I too am interested to hear from anyone else who can suggest a decent usb DVB-T device which has bda drivers to work with MCE, and has a fully featured remote control.0 -
Here are some others that I found, however there seems to be very few reviews, I have though found this link:

Looks like the following manufacturers should be ok:

http://www.kworld.com.tw/

http://www.yuan.com.tw/en/index.html#
To me it looks like this Avermedia card is the current best offering

Worth a read of http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=30865
It's a review of the Mega Sky and it says it DOES come with a remote. Cost's 29.97 from Microdirect - link in article.
edit: Rereading it doesn't say the remote they supply will work with MCEThey promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0 -
Can I also ask whether MCE Freeview cards support interactive ..... ie red button on the BBC.
I just finished watching M'boro v Charlton and found the interactive feature with the 3 Alans' really entertaining/informative ....... I would be gutted if I got a freeview card and couldn't press the red button especially with the World Cup coming up!
