Find out what your car is worth at sites such as https://www.parkers.co.uk and https://www.wisebuyers.co.uk...

By selling a car to a dealer, I presume you are talking trade in/part ex?

Another site to try is the backroom of https://www.honestjohn.co.uk for tips and suggestions. tbh, you will find quite alot of information you require on the site :-)

If you are thinking about approaching a dealer direct to buy the vehicle off you as a straight deal you will probably get lots less than you expect - they will only pay for the vehicle what it would cost them to buy a similar vehicle at auction.

Thanks, honestjohn had some usefull tips. When i have sold cheaper cars before,i got sick of people ringing me up,first thing they would say was "whats the least youl take for it".I am not sure what the correct response is,but i use to grit my teethand say "perhaps you would like to have a look at it first."Anyway bought my car today, now set to get my old one ready for sale.
