I've got two. One for northern europe which is two round pins, and one for southern europe which is very similar but the pins are very slightly bigger.
What does spain count as? South or North?

I thought there was only 1 two pin type that I've used eveywhere in Europe; Spain, Portugal, France ect.
Even when we've have forgotten them we've just bought any 2 pin plug at the airport.
The only other one I know of is the one for USA.

To be honest, the two types are virtually identical except one is ever so slightly bigger.
Yeh. I know the USA is two flat pins.
I reckon we got the best one though. In the US and Europe, the plugs never seem that secure in the socket...0 -
The short answer: either will fit. The prongs are very slightly different in diameter, and sometimes spacing, but not so much to stop them from being inserted.

Pay attention tp types C and F.0 -
In Tenerife a lot of apartments, like mine have a mixture, some take the smaller 2 pin, others the larger. For Spain I would take the larger and if it's too big, buy a connector, available anywhere for 90cents0

If anyone has GHD hair straighteners these have a european plug inside the uk plug, just take out the screw and you can use them anywhere in Europe without an adaptor.0
