Are there any rules about driving in flip flops or mules, i.e. loose fitting shoes?
Would your car insurance be invalidated if you were involved in an accident while driving flip flops. Are they deemed to be unsafe?

  • No they're not. You can drive barefoot if you like.

There are no actual rules against it but if you were to loose control and have an accident because of your footwear they could possibly use the "driving without due care" one?? - not sure how they would prove it though.

Cant think they would be the most sensible thing to wear and remain in control

My feet are so used to wearing high heels that I can only drive in them now!
