Send a letter recorded delivery. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Delighted to see that NEXT are being called on breaking the refund rules on delivery charges! Gutted as they stung me with this about 3 years ago, I wish I had done something about it then. They duplicated my order, sent me 2 identical jackets and charged me delivery fees for both, never refunded upon return of the jackets. It was then that I cancelled their stupid directory - what a massive waste of paper-. You would think I would have learned my lesson then. :mad:0

Doesnt it make you glad you would now (hopefully) have the nous to check online for your rights?
Imagine 20 years ago............the consumer is much more empowered now with information at their fingertips than they were back then. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Mmm...
I just bought some things online from Next. I do not want a credit account, so I very carefully ticked the box to say I want to pay £3.95 delivery and not get the directory sent to me.
I clicked the button, and the next page said something about me not having a credit account with them at this time. All good.
But, once I completed my payment, the delivery charge had disappeared and the items are being delivered free of charge. I did not ask for this.
Does anyone know why this happened, and does it mean that they are going to send out a directory, and if they do, will they debit my card or send me an invoice?
I do think their payment page is badly set up, and makes it difficult to buy without using a credit account. I'm sure it must put some people off buying things from them online.0 -

No I would say it means you have got the free delivery random offer, they often do this, I do at least 5 orders a month from Nexts and it seems they give this out at random.
Ah, thanks for that Jim. Was a bit worried that they would credit check me as well, as don't want any new searches showing on my report.
Will definitely order again if they give random free delivery! Excellent news0 -
I have just fell for this scam, I'm fuming. I bought some clothes when I was tired and in a rush, only now I can see the obvious disclaimer. Still, I trust such a retailer and I should not have to buy with diligence.
Paid in full and credit checked, what a !!!!ing joke. I called them up and apparently there is nothing they do :mad::mad:0
