Though it'd be easier to post this so you can have a look through it, as not sure how much you wanted to spend on day outs etc....loads of places to discover - a lot depends on the weather as always;) Hope you enjoy your stay. Also don't forget to cross the Bridges over to Anglesey!!0 -
I'd say Llanberis is well worth a visit (about 20 mins drive from Bangor). Dinorwig Power Station Visitor Centre is free entry, but there is a charge for the 1 hour tour of the underground power station. Entry to the National Slate Museum is also free. The scenery is very impressive, you are at the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
If the weather is good, there are many award winning beaches on Anglesey, several within 30 mins drive of Bangor (Newborough, Llanddona).
The National Trust has two properties close to Bangor - Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd, but there is a charge to visit these (unless you are already a member).People are more important than things0
