problem with uswitch

I phoned uswitch in march and they changed my tariff to save me £220 approx to Npowers sign online14, i was with Npower standard before.
anyway 4 months passed and i had to call npower myself as i havent heard anything from them regarding changing tariffs.
This was the first they had heard of it and changed it the next day.
Should uswitch compensate me in anyway? I have the employees name and ref num to back me up. think my bill was £60 more as i was on the old tarrif.

If ... and its a big if, you can prove uSwitch failed to send the request to switch to the supplier you would have grounds under their terms & conditions to compensation.
However, how can you prove it? How do you know nPOower are telling the truth when they say they didn't receive it? Perhaps they just failed to process the request? Perhaps they didn't receive the request, but that doesn't prove uSwitch didn't send it.
Think about who was going to gain and who was going to lose.
uSwitch may have been onto some commission if they got yopu to switch (not sure about that as it was just a change of tariff with the same supplier). They certainly have nothing to gain by failing to send the request.
However, nPower were going to lose if they processed the request ... apparently to the sum of £60 or more.
Why did you leave things 4 months? Next time you switch, igf you don't haer something within about 2 weeks start following it up then. So even if you can prove it was uSwitches error, your failure to mitigate any loss would significantly reduce uSwitches liability ... down to about £7.50 I guess!
Not worth bothering about is it?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Hi driver24ian,
I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced problems with your switch. Please send me a direct message with the name and postcode you used when switching and I'll have a look into this for you.
Thank you,
