    wouldn't bank on getting a satisfactory response.. these people source the 'raw' material from a wide area as a rule so they probably wouldnt have a clue . If you factor in all the variables it is hardly suprising.

    As a horsekeeper I emailed my bedding supplier ( flax type)on this subject and they didn't know if they used the chemical as they did not grow the crop but just processed it!! I switched to shavings reluctantly as I freely give away our mature muckheap and didnt want people getting problems.
    The feed is another issue - the manufacturers are so tied up it is unlikely to be a problem, but if you don't make your own hay/haylage and buy in there is the potential to import the problem.

    Last years silage, hay etc may well have been treated with Forefront (quite possibly as was the most popular) and Pharoah. As the MAPP licence has been withdrawn for those products, this years grass will not be a problem but this may still be an issue in the immediate future when manure, from animals fed on last years crop, is used on this years veg plots!
