    yes

    http://www.firebox.com/product/1401/USB-Turntable

    that

Audacity software and a disc burner and your away

warning though, you do have to sit there and copy the music at normal play speed

so if you wanted to record 10 tracks to mp3(to burn later) then you need to sit and let all 10 tracks play at normal speed which is very boring!

i did it for my dad

and i wanted to shoot myself by the end lol.

If you can already play your vinyls (ie still have a record player) then simply plug a male to male stereo lead (can get from Maplin) from the headphone socket into your Line In (not mic, that's mono). And use Audacity. Bit of a fiddle working out which boxes to tick in the Audio properties but you should get there in the end.

    Works for me anyway.

    hm good post

i honestly didnt know it could be done like that

well didnt think of it anyways

    how obvious:p

i do hate audacity because if my experience though

    so temperamental

one thing wrong and you have to start the whole thing over, or you have to mess about separating every track to minimalise risk of having to start over

see here, info how to get Audacity to auto split a recording so you can record one side of an LP in one go, then auto split to seperate files for each track

if you have a lot to do (like the loft full my fiancee has) you might want to invest in a usb turntable.
you can get em for 30 quid these days, like this one here
