i think you could be right. they seem to rely on their bogoff deals to get customers in store and then charge higher on other items

I preferred it when it was Safeway's but I did like the Morrisons in Coventry

    I hardly go there now

My previous job involved driving across town using different routes. I managed to pass all of the local supermarkets over the week. I went itno each on a different day and bought the best offers at them all.
  • Its good if you can buy the best offers that are going, but to be honest i don't eve know what offers are on, i just want to go in get my usual and get out, i have developed blinkers that only notice the items i wanted before I went in there! I've developed a hard heart for offers and bogofs!

I tend to buy reduced price rather than bogofs as there is only the two of us to buy for. Food bogofs tend to last too long. I do always stock up on things like loo roll on bogof though.

I shop at Morrisons a lot, as its the nearest. I remember when my daughter was at UEA going shopping with her in the Morrisons in Norwich and thinking how cheap it was. Once our local Safeways fully changed to M the prices have gone up big time. You have to be really careful about what you buy. Also things like cat biscuits - they only seem to do their own make in small sizes so you have to buy more!

  • It does seem since they took over safeways,< i used to use the safeways but when it closed I travelled about 10 miles to use the morrisons as it still worked out cheaper, i don't do that now!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Was in Morrisons today for the first time in ages. Noticed that most of the things I buy were the same as what they are in the Tescos I usually go to.

I noticed in the houseware section, I bought a chrome utensil caddy the other day at Tesco, paid £2.79 for it, saw the EXACT SAME caddy in Morrisons for 99p!!! :(
