Help Needed

I recently opend a new Ultimate reward account with halifax as i turned 18 as they kept sending me letters to say i should upgrade from my cardcash account. So i opend the account online and then phoned customer services asking what i would get with my new account and how do i activate it and so on. She then said i would get a £300 overdraft when i put £100 in my account to activate it so i did... i then bought like 9 items on ebay that cost a grand toal of 0.09p (Screen Protector for my iphone) which i payed with my new card and i got charged for £35 x 9. I then see all the charges on my account so i then phoned them up explaining i got told i had a £300 overdraft so i shouldent get charged! They where no help whatsoever and sayed for a good will they would remove one charge . How can i go about this now my balance is now £-300. Luckly i still have my cardcash account which i use now. Thanks for any replys

Is that when they told you about the charges?
What happened to the £100 if the items were £9? Or have I misread that?

In that case I would write to Halifax explaining the circumstances around you opening the account and the transactions involved. Make them aware you were mislead by the person opening the account and want the funds refunded as a result of the bank's error in the information they provided to you.
