Graduate account

Options
Hi everyone, I`m a new member here! I`ve lingered for a while and now that I need help I have shamelessly joined to post my question! :rotfl:

I want to change my current account with lloydstsb to a graduate account. I took my final exam and received confirmation of passing in September 2008 (last year). I went in to apply today and was told a number of confusing things. For one, they said that I couldn`t apply until I had actually attended the graduation ceremony and received my degree, which I won`t be doing until December this year (due to family being unavailable for previous dates). Secondly, they said I would only be eligible for £350 subject to review every 6 months! The manager told me that this was subject to a credit score but I`m pretty sure he was fobbing me off as my credit score should be decent. Anyway, my question is assuming I can sort out this £350 limitation will the graduate account start the £2000 overdraft first year, £1500 second year, £1000 third year from December 2009? If they are going to claim that it is already 9 months after passing my course in September 2008 and therefore I am only allowed my £1500 limit then I should be allowed to open the account now right? Thanks

According their website you only need confirmation of graduation rather than your actual degree certificate. If you have a letter from your university confirming graduation that should be fine.
OD facilities are always dependant on credit rating and in most cases there's no way of knowing what you will get until you've applied. Though I'd have thought that the fact you already have a current account with them should count in your favour.
