High speed internet access in Spain

Hello,
My parents have retired to spain and are currently using a dial up service.
They have seen high speed internet advertised with
http://www.avi-internet.com/en/home.htm
Does anyone have any experience of this type of service? Is it fully secure?
Also, they would probably want a wireless router, so is an ADSL modem/router/firewall appropriate?
The other thing is, could they then get a VOIP phone and not bother with a landline at all? Links to post on that would be great.

my cousin lives in spain, he too has a very high speed internet connection. i spoke to him and he has had no problems with it. I am guessing it is secure0
