Company charging me now for a transaction in December

Hi all, can somebody advise me on this please.

I ordered some event tickets from a company on December16th which i thought had been charged to my credit card and I had paid off. However it turns out that they never charged me when i bought the tickets and have now slapped £250 on my CC, 7 months later. Where do i stand with this, do I just have to suck it up and get on with it, or can i go tell them that they have left it too long to charge me

Thanks

Rick

This happened to me but was only for £40. Called the company concerned and they refunded this as it was their mistake although they have every right to charge it to your card cant remember how long it is but a few years im sure.

what would happen if i had closed my account down by now, would they be able to chase me for the money?

They would have billed the account and the bank would have asked you for payment

And if you'd since moved they'd have defaulted you, and possibly sold the debt to a DCA, and your credit rating would have been trashed for up to 6 years.

    So this...
