Well done Natwest and HSBC

I just wanted to say something positive about two Banks.
I know it is very unusual and it feels very strange typing this, but
This morning I made a transfer by internet banking from my NatWest account to my HSBC account.
In the time it took to log of NatWest and log on to HSBC the money had already arrived in the account
Now that's what I call fast payment.
Well done now lets hope other Banks can get their act together.

There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

This has been going on for about a year now. Most major banks signed up to the Faster Payments scheme meaning most transfers between banks are now instant but can take up to 2 hours. It's same between my NatWest and Lloyds accounts0

HSBC + FPS = GODLIKE
HSBC and FPS are very good, never had any problems.
Lloyds sending any sort of payment is a load of rubbish, nevermind.0 -
Most of the major banks have some implementation of this at the moment, but only HSBC, Barclays and RBS seem to have rolled it out to customers through branches and direct channels. Lloyds apparently delay by a day, if you can even get it working; and then Nationwide etc. either aren't sending or are sending under £100.What would William Shatner do?0

Not sure if this is bank specific: all transfers from Halifax to first direct and vice versa are almost immediate!0

i am not going to say well done to any bank for carrying out the most basic banking facilities correctly.Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

Well, yes, it is good. But it's only what they're supposed to be doing with the Faster Payments scheme, so I'm not sure the praise is really so deserved. It's a bit like saying to a bus-driver, "well done on getting to the end of your route without getting lost or crashing into any other vehicle".0 -

As I recall banks don't have to have FPS do they? And they don't have to give us these things free of charge?
I'm quite happy with the banking services tbh. Theres always a couple of moaners in everything isn't there eh.0 -

No - but if you're in business to provide a service, it's good practice to make that service as good as possible. And they don't provide their services free of charge. The customer (generic, not necessarily you or me specifically) provides a fair chunk of the banks' profits.I'm quite happy with the banking services tbh. I must have used up my optimism in the A&L FP thread ;-)0 -

Ok I'll rephrase. Its free banking... for me. 9 years and haven't been charged a thing thus far.
