Hi, I live in one of 2 flats in a block and a couple of years ago we set up a limited company and purchased the freehold. We sort out the insurance and maintenance ourselves and do not have a Company bank account. I have always filed dormant returns to Companies House and informed the Inland Revenue that this Company would never trade. However I have now had a form from The Inland Revenue asking if the Company is still dormant and one of the questions is if the Company has aquired any assets.
My question is if now that we have actually purchased the Freehold if that is classed as a Company asset even though we just split the Solicitors bill between ourselves and no finances touched the Company. If so do I now have to register the Company as non dormant with all that inevitably is going to involve.
Many Thanks for any advice you can offer
