0% on purchases

You've applied a credit card which gives you 90 days interest free period on purchases. Now in order to avoid incurring interest charge, would you pay off your full balance on card before?

A. 90 days from the opening date of your card
B. before the due day of your 3rd statement

Thanks

May I ask which credit card is involved?

You should pay off the balance (including any transactions posted to your account since your last statement), leaving ample time for your payment to clear before the 90 days is up. Also, stop using the card.

Note: if you settle the statement balance only and/or continue to spend on the card, having made the minimum or a partial payment the previous month, you'll be charged some residual interest (or trailing interest as it's sometimes known).
