Have stayed a couple of times at Wyck Hill House (spelling might not be quite right). Excellent hotel, very attentive staff, lovely setting. Can be hot in public areas though and some rooms are better than others. First time we stayed in a room which was at the rear of the hotel and it was very spacious and spotless. Second time we were in a room over the entrance lobby and, although spotlessly clean, we found it to be a bit dated.
Restaurant has great food.
Expensive throughout though. Make sure you haggle the price down (we got £100 knocked off the room rate just by asking at the time of booking). Last time whole weekend (on half-board type basis) cost us around £250.
Hope this helps.0 -
None more spectacular than Bibury Court hotel. Very nice. http://www.biburycourt.com/ Bibury is a lovely village to walk through and has a trout farm which is a great tourist attraction.
Also in Bibury is the Swan Hotel - http://www.cotswold-inns-hotels.co.uk/swan/
I have eaten, but not stayed at Lower Slaughter Manor - http://www.lowerslaughter.co.uk/
The same people also own Washbourne Court but I have no experience of it - http://www.lowerslaughter.co.uk/
Be warned though that money saving (the reason you are here!) and Cotswold country hotels don't go together.

It was a really lovely place in a gorgeous village. The food was amazing for a three-star, too, although it wasn't cheap. The breakfast, which is included in the price, was also spectacular and included porridge with whiskey, smoked haddock with poached egg in a cream and chive sauce as well as Good old English breakfasts.0
