My Gym terms and conditions

I don't know whether anyone out there canhelp. I have been a member of my gym for 2 years now and pay monthly. My original term was 12 months with a 3 month notice period. I have just cancelled my membership and my contract says I still have to give 3 months notice. Can they do this even after 2 years? If I have to pay it, i'll pay it but I wondered if there's anything I can do?
Many Thanks

If you have signed the contract there is nothing that can be done. Make sure you have cancelled the contract properly - most gym chains will only accept written notice (not an e-mail!), some to the branch itself, many to head office. Send your cancellation recorded delivery and keep the slip as many people have been caught out by it going astray.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
