reason for house alarm going off???

    hanks everyone. for the record although my insurance company kinow i have an alarm I told them its not maintained so therefor to them I have not got one. I vacced all around last night and tentatively set it hen I went to bed. so far so good it hasnt gone off. I think if it goes off again for no apparent reason I shall have to get it serviced but for the time being am hoping its ok again for a while.

    dont have a service ...service what exactly. Get the manual and recap on the settings and error messages stored in your unit. Then you will know where the error/faults are.
    The batteries fail after 4-5 yrs and can be brought from Maplin stores
