Those of you who can get Somerfield vouchers accepted at Tesco, have you managed to use the £5 ones in the April issue?

Yep! Two of the £5 vouchers scan fine, but the one with Highland in brackets doesnt scan at all. One very lovely checkout guy even tried manually typing in the barcod numbers but it still didnt scan!

But £10 off at Tesco per mag cant be bad!:D

I agree with above, i also had a nice lad who tried manually entering bar code number and it just doesn't work!

Hi carray, do ever have much problem with Tesco taking your Somerfield vouchers? It seems to me that it just depends on the cashier! It makes me think though, surely Tesco must want people to use Somerfield coupons in their store if they enable them to scan?

I don't think they can get the money off competitor coupons like they can say off birds eye. I suppose they do it so you spend with them and not Somerfield.
I always use self scan and just scan the coupons myself. no probs with the £5 coupons.

I've used the £5 vouchers in both ASDA and Tesco on the self serve tills and go through fine !!!!!!

Yes i have found the same,two of the vouchers scan but not the third,but who cares £10 of + other vouchers is great!!
