Want to design your own website?

I've seen a lot of people say they want to design their own business website to save money. This, in theory is a great idea, but when you have no idea what web design is about, or how it all works, it becomes a minefield.

Once you've decided your hosting, and have your domain name registered, can I URGE you to read this well written blog article on 10 things every web designer just starting out should know.

You never know, you'll probably learn something, and use sixrevisions as a useful resource going forward. I know I do, and i've been doing web design for over 10 years now.

Good to see that not a lot has changed in the past 14 years. Carl Meske, former webmaster at Sun Microsystems, posted this little nugget in 1995 - and most of it is still true today.
