Hi all i received a pair of gstar jeans from a online website this weekend which cost me alot of money. My problem is after wearing them saturday night the top button felt abit loose but looked ok.After washing them sunday i noticed the top button has come off and also one of the belt holders has come loose.
Can i send the jeans back or am i going to loose my money now?. The website just states unworn items as returns. It has got a section on Faulty Items would my jeans be classed as that?
The website has no contact number just a email address
Any advice would be great.

To me they sound faulty, I'd email them and find out what their process is next.0

Yes you are right to return them. They have to be fit for purpose, and an expensive pair of jeans that fall to bits after washing and wearing once do not represent reasonable quality.
Send an email and ask for returns policy. If you will the end, you must will the means.0 -
Thank for the reply's ive had a email from the store & i'vee got to send them back who will then send them to GStar for them to have a look, they will then get back to me with the outcome0

Hi
Unfortunately we are unable to do anything with the jeans as they have
been worn. We have sent you the jeans back with a letter explaining.

Don't accept that. The jeans were faulty due to poor manufacturing. The fact that you have worn them is irrelevant. Write to them, recorded delivery explaining the situation and that you want a refund due to the manufacturing fault. If they refuse to budge contact Trading Standards.0 -
Well managed o get a phone number after speaking to a customer service rep I've now got to post the jeans back at my cost (again) so that the jeans can be sent off to G-Star who will then verify that its a manufacturing fault. Can i refuse to sign for the jeans if there sent recorded delivery?? would they be sent back? there saying this could take a while to sort out maybe 1 - 2 months  i got the impression they didn't believe the top button came off the lady said it looked like it'd been forced off0

Contact trading standards ASAP
They are breaching your statutory rights"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
What would i say to trading standards? are they telling me a pack of lies about sending the jeans back to G-Star? Can i demand a refund or exchange and threaten to get trading standards involved?0

Well i received the jeans back a few moments ago with a nice letter inside which reads
We regret that we are unable to accept the enclosed return as faulty as it is clearly showing signs that the waist has been pulled or subject to unnecessary stress resulting in one of the belt loops being damaged.
What a joke any ideas on what i can do??????0
