she does not need to use the pre-installed AOL software on the laptop (better off removing it to make space !!!! )
if the laptop has wireless built in then all you need to do is change the broadband modem for a wireless router/modem and then connect via thatEx forum ambassador

i actually do not have broadband, just use dial up - i manage well with it, so have not gone on to broadband as yet.
will this make a difference?Nice to save.0 -
if you want to use it at the same time then it will be painfully slow but you could connect the laptop to the PC with a CAT5 crossover cable if both have LAN cards and use Internet Connection Sharing
if you want to use it at seperate times then just set up the fast4 details on the laptop by going to control panel, dial up networking and manually add a dial up connectionEx forum ambassador
