HaveTescos Reduced Points On Using Credit Card

I was always under the assumption that I received 1 point for every £2 spent using my Tesco Mastercard. It has always proved useful to gather points for holiday car hire and airport parking.

BUT, I noticed this on their website:

Collect extra Tesco Clubcard Points on all your shopping - 5 points for every £4 you spend at Tesco or Tesco.com and 1 point for every £4 you spend everywhere else!

Have they changed their policy and halved my benefits????
Can anyone confirm???

I'd say the answer is not yet, but watch this space.... I think this is so far just for new custoners. We would have to be informed of any changes to T&C's.

Oh No!! I have just managed to get a clean file and the only card I have been planning to get is a Tesco one; should I not bother now or is it still worth it overall?

it's definitely on the leaflets you get at the checkout as 5 points for £4. Currently though existing card holders look to have avoided the penalty. Shame really that they like all the others start cutting back, they can't have been losing that much money over it
