backing up the sims

in Techie Stuff
had a scare with pc last week,,daughter addicted to sims,,is there anyway We can back up the sims,,!!! in where we are at the game and not have to just reinstall from begining

Surely you can save the game where you are, then backup that file?0

The saved games are located in the (My) Documents of the user account that the in a folder called EA Games and then Sims. If you save this folder to a safe location eg a USB Stick if you have to reinstall you can copy this folder back to my Documents/EA Games once you have reinstalled the sims and play from the point you copied them across.0
