1st Direct car insurance

For the 1st time in years I cannot find a quote cheaper than my renewal price from Swiftcover including any cashback sites. From the advise from the moneysaving articles look like my cheapest option will be to get First direct to guarantee 10% off my renewal price. Does anyone know of any cashback sites that pay for First Direct car insurance and has anyone has any experience with making claims with First direct?

I would recommend you get away from Swift even if you pay a bit more

Touch wood I never had to speak to them - their email response has been pretty good - 1) to get auto renewal switched off 2) to get proof of no claims

And thirdly their renewal price is cheapest quote I had after following the MSE process and their own quote from confused etc....

Just looking for a cashback site that pays for 1st direct....

Most companies offering to beat your renewal require you to contact them direct with details of the renewal. This cuts out cashback sites as they always need the transaction to be completed in full online.

They are cheap - seem to always be the Which Best Buy! (And are on Quidco with £28 cashback).

    They have other awards:

Probably fine for anyone just wanting third party cover (they offer up to £1000 voluntary excess on fully comp which often seems to make that a cheaper alternative than taking third party if your car is not worth taking out comprehensive cover on)

The 1st direct site seems to take your figure you give it for renewal and generates a quote around it but same way other insurance companies require written proof of NCD but still cashback sites pay out because all payment etc tracked online.
