My matehas just ordered a satelite system to be fitted next week. He is paying £400 for a motorised Dish a dreambox and installation. Then he pays £150 per year to recieve "Sports". A total of £550. Is this a good deal or is there a cheaper option?

Thats not too bad a price for the dish, receiver and installation (assuming thats a DM500S) - the £150 a year though would depend on the sports he is going to get. If it's just the football then a Digital AB card would cost about that. There are other cheaper ways of doing it but they start getting into areas that shouldn't be discussed on this board. If it's just defined as 'sports' he's getting then check he isn't going to need a permanent internet connection to get them. They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0
