Help needed...
I have just recieved an offer from MINT for £8.64 the difference on my one and only £20 charge with them. However since 2006 I have been charged £12 on 15 occassions. I would really like to press them for the full amount.
I was wondering which letter is the most appropriate to send next. The court action template seems to suggest I have recieved no response but the original template doesnt take into account thier offer... any suggestions as I am not the best at constructing legal sounding letters!!
Do I need to quote that the OFT guidlines were not legal or binding and so I can still declare the revised £12 charge as illegal and unfair?
Thanks in advance

£12 is not an unreasonable amount - why were you charged this amount 15 times? Did you breach the tetms and conidtions of your account?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

The £12 charges were either for exceeding my credit limit or late payment charges... although I know the £12 charge was deemed suitable by the OFT I was under the impression that others visiting this site had success in claiming that these charges were still unlawful and do not reflect the costs to the bank... ?!0

I am in exactly the same position. Since 2006, I have been charged £264 in £12 charges and think that this is excessive. I wrote to Mint asking for the £264 back, to which they replied that £12 was deemed acceptable by the OFT. Also not sure what action to take next???0

Don't make late payments? Set up Direct Debit to take the minimum amount out per month then go from there0

So... is the general consensus that I can not claim this money back lawfully. I do believe that £12 is still excessive for sending me a letter and I know that it is unlawful for them to set 'penalty charges'..
If anyone could provide further assistance I would be appreciative. (i do now have DD in place however prioir to this I was in financial difficulty and was trying my best to avoid bank charges, c/c charges being the lesser of two evils in that respect)0
