Update. Well it was a good day despite the Shloer! No hangovers here!
I noticed that only about 10%of th non wedding party guests were wearing a buttonhole or "boutoniere" as they now seem to call them!
So it wasnt necessary but it was nice to have one. However remember this was a country wedding, in a gospel hall, and there was only a small posy of flowers on a table in there.Although the bride and bridesmaids carried simple bouquets.
A few ladies had them, pinned onto a clutch bag but I thought that was abit of a waste of time.
Mine was a vivid pink rose bud with greenery, cost new virtually nil to make. It looked good but I felt it didnt have the staying power of a florist made one.
but by the end of the day who cares?
Happymumy if I were you i wouldnt wear one but would get a yellow rose one for my husbands suit.
