Morning all, just a quick question. We havent been to a wedding for ages and I'm not sure how many people still wear flowers in their buttonhole?
Do the ladies wear corsages? Is it only the bridal party?
We are relations but quite distant, so have no official function but I want us to look right!
Thinking of maybe making my own from a few bits from the garden.
oh, its tomorrow btw!
Thanks, Arty.

Mainly its people like best man, father of the bride etc who wear flowers but there is nothing wrong with wearing some as you will still look smart, save me a piece of cake and enjoy your wedding

thanks Monty. Perhaps I'll not bother with the flowers then.
You can have my piece of cake...,eurgh!
The wedding is in a gospel hall followed by a posh hotel so there is a slight risk that it may be rather a "dry" affair! but its lovely to be invited and we are looking forward to it.

I always reckon if people have been kind enough to invite me then it's only right that I dress appropriately which includes a buttonhole for me and a corsage or handbag spray for my partner.

completely agree with amandajim36, always good to put the effort in, and if its a dry affair, a small bottle of vodka in the handbag will keep you going lol

Well I have bought a roll of florists tape(£1) and am quite looking forward to doing something. Been round the garden though and there dosent seem to be much in bloom at present. The only roses are tiny headed ones.I dont think a dasiy would look great and hydrangea not suitable either.!
Might have to raid my Mums in the morning.

I would always buy a flower for a wedding, either for my outfit or handbag. Bit pricey tho for what it is when you think about it! I usually would order a bit of heather for the men.
    oooooooh i luv a bargain :)

My mum always does a hand bag spray for herself and does corsages for me and my sis. Not sure if my dad wears a button hole tho.

So does a girl wear it on the right lapel of a jacket and the man on the left side?
I dont think I could manage anything for a bag, beyond my limited capability!
