Samsung TV

Options
Hi guys,

Need a bit of advice bought a Samsung TV from Empire Direct in January 2008, it developed a fault around november so was repaired free of charge by Samsung (was told to go to them by empire direct) now it has developed another problem and samsung are claiming I need to pay for an out of warrenty repair.

Is there anything else I can do as the unit is obviously faulty can I get a refund or replacement unit any advice would be appreciated.

The unit was well looked after by me but obviously now I have no confidence in any samsung products as another samsung tv I have in the bedroom has also developed a fault.

    Contact Empire Direct.

You can make a claim with them under the Sale of Goods Act. Advise them that you believe that the product has not lasted a reasonable amount of time and you would like for them to provide a remedy. Also advise them of the previous fault, date, job reference number, etc.

If your claim is valid they may provide a repair, replacement, refund or partial refund.

Haven't Empire Direct gone bust? If so, JacenSolo might find that a little tricky ... sorry couldn't be much more help :(

They are now owned by Richer Sounds. I think they are still trading. I don't know what the situation is regarding warranties which expired before RS took over.

As Empire Direct are still trading (although be it now owned by Richer Sounds) there shouldn't be any problems.
