Hi guys,
Need a bit of advice bought a Samsung TV from Empire Direct in January 2008, it developed a fault around november so was repaired free of charge by Samsung (was told to go to them by empire direct) now it has developed another problem and samsung are claiming I need to pay for an out of warrenty repair.
Is there anything else I can do as the unit is obviously faulty can I get a refund or replacement unit any advice would be appreciated.
The unit was well looked after by me but obviously now I have no confidence in any samsung products as another samsung tv I have in the bedroom has also developed a fault.

Contact Empire Direct.
You can make a claim with them under the Sale of Goods Act. Advise them that you believe that the product has not lasted a reasonable amount of time and you would like for them to provide a remedy. Also advise them of the previous fault, date, job reference number, etc.
If your claim is valid they may provide a repair, replacement, refund or partial refund.0 -
Haven't Empire Direct gone bust? If so, JacenSolo might find that a little tricky ... sorry couldn't be much more help0

As Empire Direct are still trading (although be it now owned by Richer Sounds) there shouldn't be any problems.0
