does bankruptcy stop all of the calls?

Just wondering if some companies still carry on with debt collection after bankrutcy just to make your life a misery! Or does it all stop?

They're not allowed to pursue you and if they do then you tell the Official Receiver I believe.Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you.

And no.
Its true, they cannot chase you after BR. However they need time to allow their systems to update and the OR to send them proof, otherwise everyone would claim they were BR and creditors would not be allowed to call anyone!
Some people here have had issues after BR, with the creditor refusing to accept etc, and it takes some effort to get them to eff off. Its not normal though.0 -
I just had the one call wondering what had happened to our arrangement. Gave my BR number and was told they would update their systems. The chap I deal with at the DCA sounded so gutted I felt quite sorry for him!0

My BR was nearly 6 months ago (!) and the calls stopped..... and have started again from one debt collector. They are driving me mad, I have given them the details on three occasions and also told the OR and still they keep ringing!
