    lol, yellobug.

You know I'm not a lover of hoops, but if this dress is to be made in the heavy satin then you are more than likely going to need at least 1 hoop and net to display the skirt. Either than that, a very full crinoline net petticoat. I make all mine into a gown so calculate the fullness and amount of netting needed in proportion to the skirt.
Defo go for something net and not just hoops. If the fabric turns out to be quite thin, you'll see the hoops through it. HTH x

Just thought, ask landy/milly what petti they are using when the determine the finished length for you. Obviously the fuller the petti, the shorter the skirt!!

It may be just the ticket but I have no idea how long your dress will be made to. Normally when you do hem alterations, the bride wears the hoop/petticoat with the dress. You will be sending a basic length measurment to Landy and I have no idea how they determine the length is going to be ok if you haven't ordered a petti or had a fitting to determine the length. I've just had a client who sent me her measurement form with her overall required length. After building the petticoat in, I was able to plot the required length with petticoat. Had she bought her own, the dress may very well have been to short.
