Monday 6th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Good morning:j
Am shattered today - didn't sleep for hours after I went to bed....:rolleyes:
Anyway, hope you all had a lovely weekend...here's my list for today:

Morning Milly and all who come along later (or just pip me at the post for second place
)
I am on holiday this week :j:j:j but cannot get out of the habit of getting up early (yet)
Today I will:
Make another cup of coffee in a minute
Check online banking (done)
See to animals and plants (noisy greedy cat fed so far - another reason for getting up early whilst on holiday)
Ring insurance company to change insurance over as picking up new car today :j(a bit sad about parting with the old one though as I have had it for years
)
Ring bank to let them know I will be paying for said new car and not to refuse my card at the crucial moment because of 'unusual usage' or whatever - of course it is unusual, most people don't buy a new car every week :rolleyes:
Pick up car :j:j
Ring up friend to confirm her visit for next weekend
Do some odd bits of shopping, stuff to descale the kettle, corn for the chickens, that (exciting) kind of thing :rolleyes:
Tackle clean laundry mountain in hall (please will somebody kick me up the backside if I mention this again - it has been there for weeks
)
Make a cake hmm, lemon sponge I think :think:
HM meals from stores and garden
Not go to work!! Yay :j:j:j
Have a nice day everyone :hello:0 -

First time on for a while.
I am debt free but the inspiration I pick up from this thread makes me enjoy my day and encourages good habits.
today
check savings account balances ( gosh, how good does it make me feel to be able to even say that?)
check bank balance
read office newspaper and check bbc news on internet. Saves me buying a paper
home made sandwiches for lunch
drive economically
walk at lunchtime and window shop. Tot up how much I have saved through not giving in to impulse buying
no spend day
free tea at work
heating at home off
showered using shower gel from previous summer holiday
That's enough to get the week off to a cracking start. Hope you all have a great day. Head up, chin up, stomach in, I'm going for a good week!!!0
