Former MBNA Customer - Reclaim?

Hi folks,
I had an MBNA credit card from 2002 to 2006, and racked up a number of late fees. Haven't yet ascertained the amount, but it's £25 nearly every month in that time, so that would be (25 x 12) x 4 = £1,200. I am now in a position of financial hardship, but as I am no longer a customer and paid that card off with a balance transfer (which is now sitting on a different credit card), would I still be eligible to claim?
Thanks,
Andrew

Im also a former MBNA CC holder, and i just about to send off the SAR for the statements. I wouldnt say im in financial hardship now, have been for the last few years tho, but thats not the reason Im applying for the charges, Im applying for them as they are illegal.

Yep. I successfully reclaimed from MBNA when my account was closed. As far as I know you don't need to be in financial hardship to reclaim from credit cards.0
