But you'd agree we are only human and sometimes we may exceed the limit, doesnt mean that we are all speed crazy nuts hell bent on breaking the law. My point is, how many of us have had a hard day at work been driving home thinking what shall I make for dinner or the dogs need a walk OR even sh*t I forgot too pay the credit card this month and then for the next 5 minutes you give yourself a right good talking too with swear words as I often do!

Like I said, we are ONLY human!

I try to always keep within the speed limit. However, I have used one of these for a while in the past. They are very good in ensuring that you do stay well under the limit at speed camera sites.

It should also be noted that you can program in your own 'safety warning' areas. I found it quite useful to add the sites of very sharp bends, and dangerous crossings / blackspots etc. I think that it is an excellent device - which helps people to drive more safely (now at a very good price - half what I paid!).

Rubbish. When motorway standard roads that used to be 70 mph are then reduced down to 50 mph the minute speed cameras are introduced tells me it is only a form of tax. This is only one of hundreds of similar actions. As for turning this into a speed debate, I'm not, but I'm not going to let silly remarks go unanswered. These gadgets are usefull & at this price is a good basic entry device.
    Nice to save.

Every time these get listed the thread ends up as a pointless rant about speeding.

Do we really have to have this AGAIN.

The first year of updates is free but it does not say how much after that.

Snoopers costs £5 a month to update so could be about the same, you need to be aware of this. They actually get out of date quite quick, not just new ones but ones that move or get removed, they often warn about "risk zones" ie speed trap areas and some also warn you you are approaching a school which is a nice responsible touch.

if you look at http://www.gpsinforad.co.uk/car/ you get a life time of updates for £50 that better than most that cost anything from £19 to £49 a year .
and if your car has a Athermic windscreens you will need a extra antenna for it on your back window or parcel shelf and they do one for a motorbike for £100

    But is it 20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH, 60MPH, 70MPH ?

Which is exactly the problem most people are not sure of, and has nothing to do with deliberately exceeding speed limits.

Looking at your speedometer instead of the road ahead is improving safety ?

    I think not :D

A lot of the new detectors tell you that a camera is coming up and then also flashes the correct speed you should be going at. I am not sure if this detector does it though.

PS Speed cameras on the motorway now? Thats a joke!
