I was checking out play.com and saw they had some cheap printer ink starting at £1.99 (as well as other goodies) + free shipping.

Pretty good for mail order. The really cheap ones are only compatibles, but there are also some decent prices for genuine cartridges.
Havng said that, I bulk buy all my ink from the local computer fair - it costs £3 to get in, but the cartridges for my Canon and Epson printers are only £1 each, and the photos they produce look ok to me.

Not too bad if buying one cart , i get my Canon ink from https://www.ink.co.uk 37p each + £2.95 p+p per order, and you can get 2 free gifts with every order too

Thanks I felt a fool having to ask that. On another note though I'm trying to buy my first replacements and am finding it hard to get HP ink under £10, how is everyone getting them for under £2
I'm clearly missing something lol0 -
Today I tried to use a compatible cartridge in my canon mp600 printer - and it wont recognise the cartridge - I put the chip on the new cartridge and I dont think I touched it. Now it is saying not recognised - I have held the reset button for over 5 seconds and pressed the ok button but nothing happens - any suggestions please?0

reasons i dont use a CISS
1. I dont like the idea of having the ink outside the printer, scared it will fall onto the floor
2. The actual CISS coming apart, due to the ink melting the glue holding it together. check youtube.
Sticher, if this is the first time you have used a compatible cartridge on the mp600 you forgot 1 thing. A chip resetter, not the reset button on the printer, but a little external tool to reset the chip, the chip holds the information like last used, how much ink, etc0 -
