Hi All!

Girlfriends laptop is being silly.

Turn it on & it's beeping at her. Get into google eventually.

Then the cursor was stuck in one position.

When it did eventually move, she got no letter 'A'.

New, if an address is entered, the letter 'S' types itself dozens of times!!

She denies spilling anything on it, but I'm the one that cleaned the keyboard of the nothing, which was spilt. Any chance that is problem!!??

Shes on Virgin, if that makes difference!

Thanks in advance!

VB

Although the symptoms aren't what I'd expect, check that none of the shift, Alt or Ctrl keys are stuck down. And that none of the other keys are stuck down.

    Bit of a long shot.

With the A and S key being right next to eachother im 99.5% sure it needs a new keypad.

The A key is stuck on constantly, the S key is sticking intermittently.
Use any PC, start notepad and hold down the A key, notice it will auto repeat until you hit another key and then won't work again until you depress/press it again.

Also take any PC with a non-USB keyboard and hold down 3 or more keys at once, it will beep like a.... well... beepy thing.
