Delivered jeans but we haven't received them!

Hi,
I'm wondering if someone can help me help my brother.
My brother bought a pair of £170 jeans. They hadn't arrived and so he contacted the company who say that it has been delivered. He paid with a Visa electron and is really upset because he thinks he has lost the money.
Can anyone advise us on what we can do?
All help will be gratefully received.

Quite simple.
What proof of delivery does the company have? Ask for a copy.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
The company has provided the track and trace number and it shows as having been delivered by the local delivery office. This is part of the problem. I have searched and searched the Royal Mail site but can find nothing to help. There is no signature on the page but I don't know what service that they have used.
My brother is going to go to the delivery office but I don't know if that is going to make any difference.
Any ideas?:o0 -

he can claim as goods not received
if they didnt use signed for delivery then its their fault, if they did, then he can still get a refund and the company will have to claim off royal mailBack by no demand whatsoever.0
