Bratislava help....

Hi gang,

Hope you guys can help me! I konw all about Med resorts, etc but European cities is not my best point! looking at getting out there for 3/4 nights around( June this year-hoping to see Depeche Mode in concert again (saw them in Manchester-'jaw-dropping' is the only way to describe the concert-breathtaking)-ok on sorting flights but any reccomendations on Hotels (does not have to be posh-just ensuite!), 2* upwards-cost of living, places to eat, drink, etc??? Just me & my young french chick....not over interested in clubs just good food, beer....any ideas?

Can't help on Bratislava itself but a couple of us skied in Slovakia last month so I can give you an idea of costs.

We arrived in Brno (different country, I know) and a 4* hotel there was £50 per night with breakfast. Beer was about 60p a pint, and very good.

We actually skied in Strbske Pleso and we paid £20 per night half board in a 2* hotel in the resort so I couldn't imagine Bratislava being too far away in price.

Pretty much every beer is good and very cheap indeed
