Have you stayed at Gatwick Travelodge?

Hello there,
need info please. I've booked flights for 30th July to go to france but the fligth is at 6 am!!! so i would like to stay at a hotel the previous night. I think the cheapest will be the travelodge, seen a room for 26gbp (if you think of any other let me know) but how is the airport transfer? how long does it take? we will be travelling around 4am so is it reliable? easy with a toddler?
i'm not taking the car and intend to travel there by train... we live in London...thanks as always...

are you talkingabout the travelodge transfers because I didn't think they did them anymore. Also the train station is 3/4 mile so you would need a taxi and also would need a taxi to get to the airport but as it is only 1 mile it shouldn't be too expensive.
    I haven't got one!

Stayed at Gatwick Travelodge last month, they run a shuttle bus every 10 mins, one to each terminal. Can't remember how much it cost, but not much, somewhere around £3 i think. They stop right outside the hotel doors, and mine was there at 5.30am and took about 20 mins to get to the airport. Easy! They will wake you with brekky too if you want, that cost £4 if my memory serves me well.

thanks for your answers. I think i'm going to book it as it really looks at it's the cheaper option.
I just wasn't sure if it was far or not...
