Hi Guys,
Quick question, where can I find lettings in oxfordshire not through an agency?
I went to look at a gorgeous property through an agency and they said my garentor would have to be earning 3.5 times the annual rent!

Going directly to a LL who self-manages does *not* mean that you and a guarantor would not have to be properly checked out. Most LLs use exactly the same credit checking procedures/firms as the LAs do, they just charge you less for doing so.
To your question - tryGooglingthe town/city/area and "landlord association" or "private landlord" You could also try Gumtree, Vivastreet, Letalife etc or put your own "wanted" ad in the paper or local shops/newsagents.0 -
You could also try Oxford's Daily Info website. We found our first rented house on there. It's used by loads of private landlords as well as agencies.
