claiming financial hardship- gambling??

i have got claims in place for chearges and at the moment i am in financial hardship due to a gambling adiction. would it be possible to claim financial hardship in these cases as it is only my own fault why i am in this mess?

However the main criteria banks are using are priority debt arrears:
Reduced income/loss of job
Level of priority debt arrears against free income available
Utility arrears such as gas/electricity threat of being cut off
Mortgage arrears
Council Tax arrears
Repossession
Serious health issues both physically and mentally
Threat of possible suicide
No money for food or rent0
