Help Please!!

Hi Everyone!

I'm in debt crisis to the tune of £78k (ouch! bet you're glad you're not me!!) and yesterday finally contacted CCCS for some help after months of being ostrich-like and burying my head in the sand.
They have now tasked me with a couple of things before I have my scheduled appointment with them. One of these is to change my current account to a bank I have no connection with (through any of my credit cards).

Someone has suggested that there might have been a post listing which banks were linked to which cards, so my question is, does anyone know if the following cards are linked to any of the high street banks in anyway:

Capital One
Beneficial Bank (Think this could HFC Bank?)
Monument (Barclays?)
Sainsburys Bank
Tescos Personal Finance
Egg

I also have cards with Halifax and Royal Bank of Scotland, but I'm assuming that these are not linked with other banks.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions of a good current account to use, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Suke
Nice to save.

Who owns or has a joint enterprise with who:

    Egg = Prudential
Sainsburys Bank= Halifax Bank of Scotland(HBOS)
Tesco Finance = Royal Bank of Scotland(RBS)
Beneficial merged with HFC in 1999
    Capital One=Capital One

Best current account by far is with First Direct (assuming you can get them to take you on)
That gum you like is coming back in style.

The HSBC connection might be a problem for the OP.
