Am I tied to npower?

Hi. I've been an npower customer for 2 years. In April this year I changed tariff via uswitch to npowers Sign Online 14 (paperless billing). Am I now tied to npower for a set period (eg 12 months) or can I change to another provider?

you can change anytime you want providing you are not in debit, you'd have to clear that debit 1st..
One note of caution though, check if there any charges for canceling the contract and if there are, take those charges into account when comparing costs with the supplier/tariff you are looking at.0 -

Thanks for the reply. Great, can't wait to change - I'm sick to the teeth of npower! How do I know if there are any cancellation charges? Unfortunately their customer service centres are not open today. Typical.0 -
Remember that the Sign Online 14 tariff has a £100 discount that is only given after you've been on the tariff for a year. You won't be getting this discount if you change now but the price comparison website will have included this discount in its calculations.0

Not bothered about the discount, I just want to leave npower now, without a penalty if possible.0
